The Role

At Nike, marketing is about more than campaigns; it is about shaping the future of sport.

As Senior Director, Marketing, Italy, you will lead the vision that connects athletes, communities, and consumers, ensuring Nike’s brand resonates across the country. This is a key city leadership role that elevates Milan’s position at the crossroads of sport, design, and style. It is a role of scale, influence, and inspiration - where sport becomes the bridge between people and possibility.

Who you'll work with

You will lead Nike’s marketing vision across Italy, partnering directly with EMEA leadership and senior cross‑functional stakeholders to shape the brand’s presence in one of Europe’s most influential markets. You will collaborate with marketplace, creative, insights, sports marketing, communications, and community impact teams to deliver distinctive ideas and experiences that inspire. You will set direction, drive alignment, and ensure Italy’s voice is represented in regional and global conversations.

You will lead a multidisciplinary marketing team, supported by specialists across brand, retail, operations, and energy marketing. Together, they provide the breadth and depth needed to deliver Nike’s brand vision across Italy.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a senior leader with the vision, authority, and experience to define Nike’s marketing future in Italy. This is a mandate to lead at scale, influence across borders, and inspire through sport.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in brand, digital, and retail marketing with strong commercial acumen.
  • Deep cultural fluency in Italy, with strong understanding of local communities and ideally an established network of relationships across sport, design, and style.
  • Strategic authority to set direction and drive clarity across complex, cross‑functional organizations.
  • Executive presence with the ability to represent Italy in regional and global forums.
  • Key city leadership experience, with the ability to elevate Milan’s role as a global intersection of sport, design, and style.
  • Talent leadership: a track record of coaching, developing, and empowering diverse teams to deliver at the highest level.
  • Cultural impact: the ability to move fluidly between football clubs and design communities, engaging authentically with both.
  • Independent drive: a self‑starter who can take strategic direction and figure out the “how” with creativity and resilience.
  • Idea‑led creativity: a disruptive thinker who brings bold, innovative concepts to life.
  • Values in action: achieving results, winning with consumers, embracing change, fostering teamwork, cultivating innovation, and driving accountability.
  • Language fluency in Italian and English, enabling seamless communication across local and global teams.

You are a visionary leader, strategic, creative, and attuned to the pulse of Italy. You’re ready to shape Nike’s next chapter and inspire through the power of sport.

What you'll work on

As Senior Director, you will set the long‑term marketing roadmap for Italy, ensuring Nike leads in sport and culture. You will:

  • Establish the vision and strategy, aligning with EMEA priorities while creating work that resonates locally and shines globally.
  • Build and nurture relationships with athletes, communities, and catalysts who move sport forward.
  • Create pinnacle brand experiences that celebrate sport as a force for connection and inspiration.
  • Elevate Nike’s presence at the most important retail doors, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our brand at its best.
  • Deliver consumer insights that shape regional and global strategies, ensuring Italy’s perspective influences the wider business.
  • Drive senior‑level cross‑functional collaboration to bring the full power of Nike to life across the marketplace.

This is a senior leadership opportunity to connect communities through sport, inspire athletes, and make Nike’s mark on Italy unforgettable. For the right candidate, it offers the scale, visibility, and impact to shape the future of sport and style in one of the world’s most influential cities.
