POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Director/Administrator is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Elizabeth Levinson Center, an ICF-IID. The Senior Director/Administrator is responsible for the programmatic and financial viability of the Center and for the success of the goals of the agency as they pertain to the ICF-IID. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training program managers and ensuring they are supported in their roles. The Senior Director/Administrator carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the policies and procedures and applicable Federal, State and local licensing rules and laws. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Have specific knowledge of licensing and funding regulations, budgets, budgetary agreements, contracts, and UCP goals.

· Protect the dignity, safety, and rights of all clients served in the programs.

· Ensure policies, procedures, in-services and training are in place to make sure employees are trained in dignity, HIPAA, resident rights, and reporting of violations.

· Keep programs compliant with all regulatory agencies, policy, procedures. Follow up on surveys and inspections to ensure all corrective action is taken.

· Develop and maintain policy and procedure to ensure successful operations of the program.

· Review financial reports and take action to meet the financial goals of the programs.

· Work closely with Senior Director of Finance to develop program budgets and capital plans.

· Work directly with program managers and HR to recruit and retain talented staff and be an employer of choice.

· Host periodic meetings of all statewide ICF/IID Administrators.

· Keep facility current on all trends and regulatory environment changes.

· Ensure a vibrant contemporary Active Treatment program to maximize success of the residents served.

· Participate in or monitor all committees necessary to make the programs successful or maintain regulatory compliance.

Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work.
  • Be eligible to be licensed in the State of Maine as a Multilevel Administrator.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services or health related field or in Administration, Health Care Administration, Long Term Care Administration or a Bachelor’s Degree in any field, plus proof of a Certificate of Advanced Study in Long Term Care Administration or 6 credit hours in management along with at least 6 credit hours in health care or long-term care.
  • Proof of Influenza vaccinations; Tuberculosis test; proof of immunity from MMR, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis-B.

Skills Required

  • Valid State of Maine driver license

  • At least 21 years of age
