About the team
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, Cards and Money Movement, the Senior Director, Head of Cards & Money Movement Quality Engineering will play a critical role in driving innovation and growth for the Banking Solutions business.
In a leadership role in the Cards & Money Movement organization, you will be responsible for transforming our talent and driving the development and implementation of next generation products. With a focus on software engineering and execution, you will collaborate closely with product leaders, and other stakeholders to align on product milestones and deliver innovative Cards & Money Movement applications and experiences.
What you will be doing
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the company's transformation journey, drive customer-centric innovation, and position the organization as a leader in the competitive banking landscape. Specifically, the Head of Cards & Money Movement Quality Engineering will be responsible for the following:
• Partnering closely with the broader Cards & Money Movement Engineering organization, and Banking product organization to define and deliver a modern, scalable, quality platform as the backbone for next generation solutions that will drive market share and delight customers with a compelling user experience
• Delivering high-quality and performant technology solutions to our clients and customers for product areas in the Cards & Money Movement Solutions business
• Leading and mentoring a team of quality engineering leaders and quality engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence. This includes identifying and attracting high-quality talent, as well as upskilling the existing team
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the quality engineering space, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and manage dependencies in the Cards & Money Movement roadmap, ensuring alignment with Cards & Money Movement quality engineering practices and the shipment of defect-free solutions
• Participating in discussions with clients and customers to gather feedback and ensure that Cards & Money Movement products meet their requirements and expectations
• Driving and exemplifying quality engineering best practices and standards, while managing technology debt. Ensure the company continues to drive process improvement and migration to modern architectures and infrastructure
• Deliver a best-in-class quality engineering practice inclusive of the foundational quality engineering platform and quality engineering processes that will be leveraged by a scaled engineering organization to deliver products to clients and customers
• Define overall quality assurance strategy, inclusive of setup and alignment within our Agile operating model, talent structure and needs, and test planning, design, and management
What you bring
• Substantial Quality Engineering leadership experience building high-performing, best in class quality engineering teams in a high-growth software product environment
• In-depth quality engineering experience and experience in the adoption of Agile best practices and automation to accelerate capabilities to production
• Strong track-record of building out market leading consumer facing mobile products, on-time and with quality
• Proven track record of hiring, managing, mentoring, and retaining top-performing quality engineering professionals, and inspiring and leading engineering teams
