The Senior Director, Global Growth Marketing will lead the strategy and execution required to establish Waters Advanced Diagnostics (ADx) as an innovative, top-tier in vitro diagnostics company. This leader will define and activate a unified global brand, strengthen market awareness, accelerate demand generation, and partner across Business Segments and Regional Commercial teams to translate strategic priorities into measurable revenue growth. The role requires a global, data-driven marketing executive who can integrate brand, digital, content, events, customer engagement, and commercial execution across complex markets and geographies.

ResponsibilitiesKey Near-Term Responsibilities
  • Position Waters ADx as an innovative IVD leader: Develop and execute global positioning that increases awareness, strengthens brand recognition, and clearly communicates the division’s differentiated value to customers, partners, and the broader diagnostics market.
  • Lead portfolio and solution marketing: Build compelling value propositions and integrated campaigns for automation solutions, including Modular Kiestra and Project Centaur, emphasizing throughput, flexibility, modularity, and ease of use; and for informatics solutions, including Synapsis for antimicrobial resistance, review by exception, and emerging-resistance insights.
  • Establish disease-state leadership: Create global marketing strategies that position ADx as a recognized leader in sepsis and antimicrobial resistance, cervical cancer and women’s health, endocrinology, newborn screening, and pediatric care.
  • Deliver global events and customer engagement: Execute a unified event strategy and consistent Waters ADx branding and messaging across ADLM, ESCMID, ASM, relevant clinical and medical conferences, regional KOL and Innovation Days, and regional user meetings.
  • Accelerate digital demand generation: Generate qualified demand through integrated trade show, event, social, and digital-channel strategies, including LinkedIn and other priority platforms.
  • Lead Waters–BD integration and brand launch: Direct the Waters Advanced Diagnostics brand launch, rebranding, website migration and launch, eCommerce evolution, and development of a holistic brand identity, messaging architecture, and market positioning for both the division and Waters Enterprise.
  • Advance near-term digital commerce opportunities: Identify and prioritize eCommerce and digital initiatives with tangible near-term commercial impact.
  • Strengthen marketing capabilities: Assess and round out the capabilities, operating model, and resources needed to support the legacy Clinical Business Unit and the integrated ADx organization.
Additional Leadership Responsibilities
  • Strategic revenue growth and go-to-market leadership: Collaborate with Business Segment and Regional Commercial leaders to shape go-to-market strategies and convert them into actionable, measurable plans that drive top-line growth across global markets.
  • Performance-driven campaign management: Establish campaign objectives, measurement frameworks, and operating rhythms that use analytics to improve decision-making, campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, pipeline contribution, and return on investment.
  • Global team leadership and organizational impact: Build and lead a high-performing, matrixed global marketing organization. Develop Centers of Excellence across digital channels, content strategy, creative services, brand implementation, and customer engagement to ensure quality, scalability, and consistency.
  • Talent and culture leadership: Attract, mentor, develop, and retain world-class talent while fostering inclusion, cross-cultural collaboration, accountability, and an enterprise mindset.
  • Digital innovation and best practices: Partner with Digital, IT, and Enablement teams to scale marketing automation, strengthen SEO and SEM performance, improve customer journeys, and embed modern digital marketing practices across ADx.
  • Financial and budget oversight: Lead marketing budgeting and forecasting with strong financial discipline. Optimize investment and resources across segments and regions, ensuring that spending is aligned with strategic priorities, revenue impact, and measurable ROI.
Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
    • 10–15+ years of progressive B2B marketing leadership experience with direct accountability for revenue contribution.
    • IVD diagnostics industry marketing experience strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success leading large, matrixed global teams and scaling high-impact campaigns across multiple customer journeys, industries, and geographies.
    • Experience managing multimillion-dollar marketing budgets of approximately $10 million, with a record of disciplined investment and performance optimization.
    • Expertise in CRM and marketing technology, including Salesforce, marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, and advanced analytics tools.
    • Proven ability to build brands, launch integrated global campaigns, accelerate digital demand generation, and translate marketing strategy into measurable commercial outcomes.
