Honeywell is seeking an innovative and outcomes-driven Senior Director, Digital Visibility & Discovery to lead the strategy, governance, and execution of Honeywell's global digital presence across web, search, AI platforms, and emerging discovery channels.


This role serves as the strategic owner of Honeywell's digital visibility, AI discovery, and One Honeywell web ecosystem, including web strategy, governance, authoring, content operations, design standards, development roadmap oversight, and search performance across traditional and AI-powered discovery channels.


The Senior Director, Digital Visibility and Discovery will ensure Honeywell is discoverable, trusted, and accurately represented across search engines, AI assistants, generative search experiences, industry knowledge platforms, and future digital discovery environments. This leader will establish enterprise standards for how Honeywell's content, information, products, solutions, and expertise are structured, managed, and surfaced to both human audiences and AI systems.


Partnering closely with all Honeywell Technologies Business Groups, Communications, IT, other Corporate Marketing functions, and external partners, this leader will drive measurable improvements in awareness, engagement, discoverability, brand authority, and growth.
 

Responsibilities

Digital Visibility & Discovery Strategy

  • Define and lead Honeywell's enterprise-wide digital visibility and discovery strategy.
  • Develop a multi-year roadmap encompassing SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), AI discoverability, web governance, and content strategy.
  • Anticipate shifts in search, AI, and buyer behavior and position Honeywell to lead in emerging discovery environments.
  • Establish enterprise standards for discoverability, digital authority, and trusted brand representation.

One Honeywell Web Strategy & Governance

  • Serve as the business owner for the One Honeywell web ecosystem.
  • Establish and govern enterprise standards for: 
    • Website architecture
    • Navigation
    • Information architecture
    • Accessibility
    • Content governance
    • Design systems
    • Localization
    • Publishing standards
  • Own the strategic roadmap for Honeywell's corporate web properties and digital platforms that support brand awareness, thought leadership, demand generation, recruitment, investor communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure consistency across digital properties while enabling flexibility for Strategic Business Groups and functional organizations.
  • Lead governance forums and decision-making processes that drive adoption and compliance with enterprise web standards.

AI Discovery & Knowledge Architecture

  • Lead Honeywell's strategy for visibility across AI-powered search, answer engines, and generative discovery platforms.
  • Establish enterprise standards for structured content, taxonomy, metadata, schema, semantic markup, and knowledge architecture.
  • Ensure Honeywell's information ecosystem is optimized for machine readability, AI citation, and accurate representation across AI-driven platforms.
  • Partner with data and technology teams to improve the quality, accessibility, and discoverability of enterprise knowledge assets.
  • Develop frameworks to measure AI referrals, citations, visibility, and share of voice across emerging AI discovery channels.

Website Authoring & Content Operations

  • Lead enterprise web content strategy and publishing operations.
  • Establish governance for content creation, approval workflows, quality standards, and lifecycle management.
  • Drive adoption of structured authoring practices that support both user experience and AI consumption.
  • Improve content efficiency, consistency, scalability, and reusability across Honeywell's digital ecosystem.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand standards, business priorities, and discoverability objectives.

SEO, AEO & GEO Leadership

  • Own enterprise strategies for: 
    • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
    • Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
    • Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
  • Develop technical and content optimization frameworks that improve digital visibility across traditional and AI-powered platforms.
  • Monitor competitor performance, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Partner with marketing and business teams to improve rankings, authority, engagement, and conversion outcomes.
  • Create scalable governance models that embed optimization best practices throughout Honeywell's content ecosystem.

Design Standards & Development Governance

  • Partner with UX, design, IT, and agency teams to deliver modern, scalable digital experiences.
  • Govern enterprise design standards and digital brand consistency.
  • Provide business leadership for website platform enhancements, modernization efforts, and capability investments.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • 12+ years of experience in digital marketing, web strategy, search, content operations, or digital transformation.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise-scale digital programs and teams.
  • Deep expertise in: 
    • Website strategy and governance
    • Content strategy and operations
    • SEO and technical SEO
    • Digital analytics
    • Information architecture
    • Enterprise web platforms
  • Experience leading large-scale corporate website ecosystems and governance programs.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional initiatives.
