About the role

Our Product Team at Attain works seamlessly with engineers, designers and data scientists to build cutting edge products across our data, measurement, insights & activation business lines. The Senior Director of Data Product will bring an entrepreneurial spirit as we continue to refine our commercially facing offerings, by overseeing and stewarding our consumer-permissioned dataset in the market. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience in ad-tech startup environments with expertise working with large commercially facing, proprietary datasets
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business or other equivalent quantitative field
  • Familiarity with data feeds both at the Merchant Level or CPG Product-Level (e.g., UPCs, SKU, Taxonomy & Categorization) 
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Deep technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills including SQL proficiency
  • Experience in ETL processes, cloud infrastructure (such as AWS or GCP) and BI tools (Tableau, Looker)
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross functional stakeholders and executive teams

What a typical week might look like

Own Product Management for our Data Product 

    • Work with clients to send accurate & timely data-feed deliveries, as well as oversee all aspects of client communication (i.e., updates & issue resolution) 
    • Define validation testing & quality assurance processes for external deliverables 
    • Cross collaborate with strategy team to define ideal market requirements, as well as sales and marketing leaders to define scope
    • Execute match tests and support identity resolution 
    • Work with engineering to build and enhance data products, while ensuring adherence to data quality standards 

Manage the Data Pipeline 

    • Design and maintain pipelines that enforce data validation, quality assurance checks and best practices for integrating Data Science models into various B2B products
    • Set up and maintain Attain data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources, as well as enabling access to data for both internal (for internal reporting, building new products, etc.) and external stakeholders (for clients and business partners)
    • Design and own the internal tools and processes that govern the storage, cleansing, consumption manipulation and access to our consumer-permissioned data and other integrated data sets
    • Lead day-to-day relationships with data vendors in collaboration with Consumer App Product Managers
    • Data processing and cleansing
    • Employ machine learning to efficiently organize our data at scale
    • Vet the addition of any new data points, types or sources to ensure their integrity and value to Attain, while proactively identifying gaps, risk and errors within our data set
    • Collaborate with the Data Strategy team and analysts to monitor trends in data volume and quality over time
    • Collaborate closely with our Head of Compliance and Consumer App Product Managers to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices in data collection, storage, and usage
    • Report key metrics on the data to the executive team and other key stakeholders
