This candidate will be responsible for leading, growing and managing the portfolios of multiple accounts. A successful candidate will have demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary teams through the delivery of complex consumer-facing projects, instilling confidence in and building relationships with client stakeholders and motivating and empowering internal team members. 

Experience and interest in working in the sports industry is required. 

In addition to being a cultural fit, this candidate must be a collaborator, motivator and leader. This person will work closely with Project, Design and Technology team members and other leaders across the organization and will report into the COO. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Lead client and internal teams through the delivery of complex projects including all stages of the project life cycle: strategy, planning & requirements, design and development and ongoing product operations.
  • Be responsible for the quality of project output, client satisfaction, team satisfaction and growth.  
  • Possess a strong understanding of the sports and technology industry, market and trends to identify and execute on client and internal opportunities.
  • Be a trusted partner to client stakeholders at senior levels. 
  • Motivate, oversee and empower internal, multidisciplinary team members. Uncover opportunities for revenue growth and collaborate with the Next League Commercial team on business development initiatives. Lead client retention efforts.
  • Manage aggregate project health; utilize team and project data to manage performance goals.
  • Lead internal and external processes, such as planning team member allocations relative to project work and sales pipeline.
  • Drive product strategy through the creation and execution of roadmaps and product requirements documentation that represent the user experience and the technical plan for execution. Develop business cases that connect feature decisions, outcomes and ROI.
  • Proactively address program obstacles, present creative solutions and deliver on client expectations and goals.
  • Communicate technical concepts to clients and internal team members. 

Qualification Requirements:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • 12+ years of experience of product or delivery lead experience in consumer facing products
  • 5+ years managing direct reports and leading teams of 20+ through complex, technical projects. 
  • Must have deep technical experience in order to articulate product functionality and program status to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering large scale  solutions for consumer facing digital experiences.
  • Experience working in sports is required.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams. and key stakeholders from different business functions.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and the Next League team.
  • Passion for fandom and developing solutions to drive continuous innovation in sports
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to constantly changing business environment, work independently, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This job does have supervisory responsibilities.

Location/Work Hours:  This role is 100% remote.  

Travel Requirements:  This position is expected to travel up to 25% of the time.
