Job Overview
The Senior Director, Business Development is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives and expanding the company’s portfolio across the region. This individual will identify, pursue, negotiate, and secure new business opportunities while leading the full business development lifecycle from prospecting and underwriting through proposal development, contract negotiation, and operational transition.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong financial and operational acumen, a proven track record of growing portfolios, and the ability to build long-term client relationships. This person must be adaptable, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts focused on expanding and strengthening the company portfolio across targeted markets
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and accurately track activity through CRM systems
- Build detailed financial models, underwriting analyses, and pro formas to support new business opportunities
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases for prospective clients and executive leadership
- Lead contract negotiations and collaborate with legal and operational teams to finalize agreements
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and operational performance to identify growth opportunities
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, legal, and executive leadership to ensure successful onboarding and transition of new business
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales and implementation process
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining profitability goals and operational standards
- Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings
- Mentor and support junior business development team members as needed
- Assist with strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred
- 8–15+ years of business development, sales, real estate, parking, hospitality, or related industry experience preferred
- Proven success expanding portfolios and securing large-scale client partnerships
- Strong financial acumen with experience underwriting deals, building pro formas, and analyzing business opportunities
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and proposals
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented
- Experience utilizing CRM systems such as Salesforce preferred
- Ability to travel as needed
- Valid driver’s license without major violations
