The Role

Description

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Senior Director of Brand to join Hello Sunshine. This role requires someone that can elevate brand identity, shape content strategy, and drive audience engagement across multiple platforms. As the Senior Director of Brand, you will be responsible for crafting compelling brand narratives, leading marketing initiatives, and developing partnerships that align with our company’s mission and growth objectives. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our brand remains culturally relevant, impactful, and positioned for long-term success.

This position demands a deep understanding of brand marketing, audience engagement strategies, and creative storytelling, as well as experience in building high-profile brand partnerships. You will play a critical role in strengthening our brand’s presence in the media landscape, driving innovative marketing efforts, and ensuring our content strategy reflects our identity and values.

This role is based in New York City, but we are open to candidates based in Los Angeles as well.

What You’ll Do

Brand Strategy & Development

  • Define and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with company goals and audience engagement.
  • Develop brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all content and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee content strategy and creative direction, ensuring a strong and cohesive brand identity.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and execute campaigns, activations, and brand initiatives that resonate with key audiences.

Marketing, Promotion & Brand Growth

  • Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and marketing channels.
  • Develop and lead promotional strategies to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
  • Work with marketing teams to create compelling assets that amplify brand reach and impact.
  • Identify strategic brand partnerships that align with business goals and drive growth.

Performance & Optimization

  • Track and analyze key brand performance metrics, using data-driven insights to refine marketing and content strategies.
  • Leverage audience insights to optimize engagement and retention across various platforms.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and market shifts, ensuring the brand remains innovative and relevant.

Sales & Partnership Support

  • Collaborate with sales teams to ideate and execute branded partnerships, sponsorships, and live activations.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables for brand initiatives and promotional campaigns.
  • Ensure seamless execution of branded content while maintaining editorial integrity.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, content strategy, creative development, or editorial operations in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute brand strategy, oversee marketing operations, and manage brand positioning.
  • Strong track record in building and scaling brands, leading content/editorial strategy, and managing internal operations.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to leverage analytics and audience insights to optimize brand performance.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and an eye for cultural trends and brand storytelling.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic media environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
Benefits

This position offers an estimated base salary range of $140,000 - $150,000
