Senior Director of Brand Engagement 

The Opportunity:

As a global leader in mobility and innovation, we are looking for a creative and strategic leader of Brand Engagement to join our team. This is a high-impact role for a candidate with experience in both communications and marketing, eager to make their mark in a purposeful company recognized worldwide for excellence and sustainability.

This position serves as a highly visible leadership role, partnering closely with key stakeholders while providing direct responsibility for leading and inspiring a brand engagement team. It is based in Greenville, SC – close to beaches, mountains, and major cities like Atlanta and Charlotte.

What You’ll Do:

This role will define and lead the corporate and brand engagement strategy for the United States and Canada, aligning consumer focused marketing priorities with enterprise level business objectives. This role owns end‑to‑end brand communications, performance marketing, media relations, social media and reputation management across Paid, Earned, Shared, and Owned channels. As a highly visible leader, the Senior Director will guide multiple teams, partner closely with executives and business leaders, manage agency relationships, and ensure brand, corporate, and employer communications strengthen the company’s reputation, drive engagement, and deliver measurable business impact. Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and implement the regional brand and corporate engagement strategy aligned to business and enterprise goals
  • Be responsible for and develop Brand Communications, Performance/Media, and transverse Corporate teams (employer brand, public relations, brand identity, etc.)
  • Own integrated PESO communication strategies across content, media, public relations, and social media
  • Serve as senior advisor to executives on essential communications, messaging, and media engagement.  
  • Oversee media relations, crisis communication readiness, and reputation risk management
  • Drive performance optimization through insights, analytics, and important metrics
  • Lead agency and vendor strategy, performance management, and investment governance
  • Advance digital transformation and MarTech capabilities across teams
  • Foster a high‑performing, purposeful culture with strong succession planning

What You Will Bring:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Strategic Communications, or a related field preferred
  • 8–10+ years of proven experience in brand, corporate, or critical communications
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis management and corporate communications, including external communications in complex and/or operations environments
  • Proven people leadership experience, including managing managers and/or direct reports
  • Strong executive‑level communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization, demonstrating collaboration, influence, and shared decision‑making
