Job Summary:
As the Caterpillar Product and Parts Information Management Senior Product Owner, you will play a key role for critical Digital Marketing content development and integration programs. You will lead product intake, backlog prioritization, strategy and roadmap development for Commerce, retail and various other dealer applications. You will ensure the team meets its goals on time and within budget as well as managing integrations across multiple systems. We are looking for a candidate with experience as a product owner or significant experience as a lead business analyst or project manager. This role also requires collaboration with various process partners, suppliers and strong experience working with an Agile framework.
What You Will Do:

  • Coordinates with product development engineers to track and communicate design, development, support, and maintenance problems and solutions.
  • Identifies, documents, and reports design, reliability and maintenance problems and bugs. Gathers and consolidates feedback from customers and business users.
  • Collaborates with our business partners and product management teams to create, prioritize, and drive changes in relation to the product road map.
  • Answers user and downstream application support questions; provides guidance and support for product integration and infrastructure issues.


What You Will Have:

  • This position should be familiar with project management methodologies as they will participate in multiple projects representing expertise for the application or process.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across various groups and at all levels of the business that include stakeholders, business partners, customers and vendors.
  • Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Knowledge of software engineering concepts that include development, integrations and deployment of software or applications.
  • Experienced with the business aspects and operation of digital products that include Master Data Management (MDM) Tools, data warehousing and ETL tools, integration platforms, etc
  • Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.


Consideration For Top Candidates:

  • Four-year Bachelor's degree preferably in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, engineering or related field
  • Experience managing product backlogs using Agile software tools such as Mingle, VSTS, JIRA, Team Services, Rally, Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Previous experience working with tools that may include Informatica MDM, DataStage, SnapLogic
  • Experience working with SQL and writing queries
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately to ensure a team's success

This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; Dallas, TX or Denver, CO offices with a flexible hybrid work environment.

Summary Pay Range:
$108,360.00 - $176,040.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
