BAE Systems is looking for a Software Engineer/ DevSecOps (Senior) to join our visible technical program driving the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) cloud platform that supports collection, management and analysis of digital engineering information in an architecture that provides seamless digital thread and enables tool interoperability, including data structures suitable for AI applications. This program delivers engineering services for Linux and Windows cloud-based infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflows. Responsibilities:
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure in a cloud-based environment (AWS)
- Deploy Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Configure and Deploy Applications as Code (AaC)
- Develop and maintain an automated CI/CD pipeline for DBs, Servers, and applications using DevSecOps tools to include Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Selenium
- Configure IdAM, Active Directory, LDAP resources
- Deploy and maintain complex modern cloud architectures
- Create and update technical documentation (e.g., user guides, 'how to' guides, infrastructure diagrams)
- Prepare technical presentations for government and senior leadership
- Work effectively in a group environment
- Create testing plans for infrastructure and applications
- Work across infrastructure that contains both Linux (60%) and Windows (40%)
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical, management and customer both written and verbally
- Utilize robust troubleshooting skills
- Instill and apply solid engineering rigor, to include configuration management, testing
- Develop/engineer as part of an Agile scrum team

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience. Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field is required. Specific skills include the following:
- At a minimum, meet DOD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
- Expertise working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects
- Solid ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor
Demonstrated experience with system testing and validation
Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
Experience with Cloud architecture and system design (prefer AWS, but will consider Azure)
Strong documentation skills
Familiar with Agile Methodologies
Ability to accurately decompose tasks for Jira stories
Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy
Experience and comfortability with Basic DevOps Tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP)
Familiarity with Containerized Development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes)
Expertise with creating robust test plans
Ability to quickly get familiar with customer system security requirements and processes
Preparation and maintenance of system components
Experience with API Gateways, catalogs

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
