About this role:
We’re looking for a senior level DevSecOps ninja to help us build, ship, and secure world class, mission critical software deployed across a variety of platforms and environments. The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering who naturally gravitated to DevSecOps. If this sounds like a fit for your career ambitions, we want to meet you!
Some of what you’ll do:
- Develop complex, mission critical software in a supportive, collaborative environment
- Perform design and code reviews for quality and security
- Manage container builds, provisioning, and deployment
- Develop test automation scripts
- Support functional and system level testing
- Manage our cloud infrastructure and recommend optimizations, Azure and AWS
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the development network and assets
- Develop, maintain, and enforce the Software Development Process across projects
- Serve as a Linux SME and mentor to early career DevOps
Requirements
Skills and experience you bring:
- B.S. in Computer Science, or engineering field (Software, Math, Physics, Electrical, etc.)
- 4+ years of experience in DevSecOps.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a strongly typed language developing complex software systems, preferably C++.
- Experience developing software using agile processes (Kanban, Scrum, Scrumban)
- Deep experience with one of the following configuration management systems: GIT, GitLab, GitHub
- Deep experience defining and implementing the DevSecOps lifecycle - continuous (build, integration, test, deployment, cyber, monitoring, etc)
- Experience with configuration of virtual machines (VMs) and virtual networks
- Experience building, orchestrating, and deploying container applications at scale
- Expert Linux OS knowledge (we use RHEL, mostly)
- Expertise building and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably in GitLab
- Ability to obtain US Secret clearance
- US Citizen

Salary Range: $135,000 - $180,000

Skills Required
- 4+ years of experience as a Linux Engineer or DevSecOps with deep Linux expertise
- RedHat Certifications (RHCE, RHCA, etc.)
- Experience with Initramfs (dracut, custom modules, modifying existing modules)
- Experience with SELinux (AVC denials, writing custom policies, custom file/user contexts, policy modules)
- Experience with Network Manager (layer 2/3 networking, bridges, tunnels)
- Experience with package management in air-gapped repositories
- Experience with PXE Boot and Kickstart
- Experience with Virtualization: KVM, libvirt, virt-install, qcow2/raw disks, overlays
- Experience with firewalld, aide, systemd, chronyd, rsyslog, DAR, Clevis/Tang, journalctl, grub, FIPS, auditd, PAM, authselect, systemd-creds
- Exposure to cybersecurity principles: CVEs, CWEs, KEVs, STIGs, attack paths and mitigation techniques
- Ability to obtain US Secret clearance
