We are looking for a Senior DevOps / SRE Specialist to design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure, automation, and operational processes that support our high-performance trading platforms in Porto.
In this role, you will ensure that systems are scalable, resilient, secure, and efficient, supporting the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in demanding, regulated trading environments. You will act as both a technical expert and an enabler, working closely with Product, Development, and Quality Assurance teams to streamline operations, enhance reliability, and improve time-to-market.
This role requires strong autonomy, accountability, and efficiency, with a clear focus on client success, product quality, operational resilience, and compliance with deadlines.
Hybrid working model: 4 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure, Automation & Reliability
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, automated software delivery
- Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks
- Operate scalable infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments (AWS preferred)
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and resilience
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging to achieve full system observability, including first line of defense controls
- Contribute to architectural discussions supporting scalable, automated, and efficient DevOps practices
- Continuously improve deployment and release processes to optimize time-to-market and operational stability
Quality, Accountability & Compliance
- Ensure all DevOps operations comply with internal quality, security, and regulatory standards
- Take accountability for production environments, ensuring timely detection and resolution of incidents
- Maintain accurate operational documentation for infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response procedures
- Automate recurring operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention (including AI-based solutions aligned with group policies)
- Conduct proactive monitoring and performance analysis to mitigate risks before they impact production
- Guarantee compliance with deadlines, internal policies, and client SLAs
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of client data, systems, and configurations
- Provide regular updates and report activities to management
Collaboration & Client Success
- Work closely with Product, Development, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure cohesive and reliable software delivery
- Collaborate with Technical Account Managers and Application Management teams to maintain stable, fully monitored client environments
- Translate client needs and feedback into technical improvements that enhance reliability and performance
- Act as a trusted technical advisor on deployment strategies, scalability, and automation
- Communicate proactively with internal teams and clients regarding incidents, updates, and planned improvements
- Contribute directly to client success by minimizing downtime and ensuring operational reliability
- Foster teamwork, professionalism, and shared accountability across departments
Leadership, Mentorship & Continuous Improvement
- Mentor and support junior DevOps and SRE specialists, promoting autonomy, accountability, and technical excellence
- Encourage adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and DevOps best practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and security automation
- Lead by example in professionalism, responsibility, and commitment to quality and deadlines
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives to improve infrastructure, security, and release management
- Drive continuous learning and process optimization aligned with company strategy and industry standards
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Profile & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure automation roles, preferably in trading systems or fintech
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar)
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or equivalent
- Understanding of networking, security principles, and system performance tuning
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems
- Experience with financial systems, trading workflows, or market data
