Core Knowledge & Skills: Proficient with branching strategies, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform/Ansible), and intermediate scripting; improves monitoring and security practices.
Work & Complexity: Manages and optimizes pipelines for multiple projects, automates deployments, and resolves moderately complex infrastructure issues.
Quality & Independence: Conducts thorough testing, enhances reliability and performance, documents changes, and works independently on routine projects.
Teamwork & Communication: Coordinates with developers and operations teams, shares knowledge, provides clear updates, and helps align team efforts.
Consulting & Engagement: Advises on DevOps process improvements, offers technical recommendations, and participates in cross-functional initiatives.
AIS is supporting federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops strategy and integration methodology around design, development and implementation of cloud based solutions
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
Enables the quick development and release of changes and bug-fixes on an as-required basis and incorporation of feedback from developers/users
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable releases and rollbacks.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to improve consistency and scalability.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications.
Active Secret clearance (or higher).
Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices.
Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.
