We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer with Azure and AWS experience to join our client's Cloud-Storage Team.

Our client is an open-source platform built to productionize data science from day 1 by a team with a strong scientific background. Today it has a strong user community of 300,000+ across all industries and in over 60 countries. Its philosophy is to maintain and develop an open source platform that contains all the functionality any individual might require and to continue adding functionality through both our own work and that of the community.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and services within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Private Link Services, Azure Networking, Azure, Azure Database for PostgreSQL flexible server).
• Assist in the building and deployment of cloud environments, primarily based on Azure and AWS. 
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) primarily using Terraform to ensure environments are consistently provisioned and maintained.
• Establish and enforce best practices for cloud security, networking (VNet, NSG, Firewall, Load Balancer), governance, and cost optimization.
• Take ownership and be responsible for tasks related to onboarding new tenants, implementing infrastructure changes, and adjusting or creating scripted automation based on predefined templates. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, automation scripting, and cloud-based deployment processes is essential.
• Manage and maintain containerization technologies, including Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), leveraging tools like Helm and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Github Actions).
• Develop, maintain, and optimize robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Implement advanced deployment strategies (e.g., Blue/Green, Canary) to minimize downtime and risk.
• Write and maintain automation scripts using languages such as Python and PowerShell/Bash to automate repetitive tasks and system provisioning.
• Form part of a geographically distributed team with an already established development process, regular plannings, sync ups and sprints.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support critical incidents and ensure high system availability.

Requirements:

• Strong Azure Knowledge, including hands-on experience with AKS, Private Link Services, Entra ID, Managed Identities and Private Endpoints.
• Good experience of AWS, including knowledge of basic components / building blocks (EC2, VPC, IAM)
• Terraform knowledge, including working with modules (Both for Azure and AWS)
• Gitops knowledge, including Github actions and deployment using ArgoCD using Helm Charts
