We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to drive improvements in our automation processes and streamline our development and deployment workflows. As we are in the process of building our DevOps team, the selected candidate will be among the first members, playing a key role in shaping its foundation. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, particularly in setting up or working closely with a DevOps team. This role involves close collaboration with the Director of IT Operations and our engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Automate Deployment Pipelines: Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket to automate code deployment, testing, and integration processes.
Manage Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources efficiently and reproducibly.
Enhance Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee and improve AWS infrastructure management, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of cloud resources.
Optimize Database Performance: Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance, security, and reliability. Implement backup and recovery strategies.
Implement Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure. Use tools like AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or similar.
Drive Process Automation: Identify and automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency. Leverage scripting and automation tools to streamline workflows.
Collaborate and Support Teams: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to understand their needs and provide support for continuous integration, delivery, and infrastructure improvements.
Minimum requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a related role, with a strong focus on automation and cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in AWS services and best practices
- Experience with Bitbucket/gitlab/github and CI/CD pipeline management
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database management
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack)
- Expertise in Terraform for IaC
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Fluent in English
