Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise to help design, build, and scale modern cloud platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in automation-first environments, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and wants to influence platform strategy and DevOps maturity.
You’ll work across infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and cloud architecture, partnering with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS
- Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable software delivery
- Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
- Improve system performance, availability, and cost efficiency across AWS environments
- Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps best practices
- Drive automation and self-service capabilities across engineering teams
- Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Implement and uphold cloud security best practices and governance controls

QualificationsCore Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.)
- Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, security groups, VPC design)
Operations & Observability:
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues in high-pressure environments
- Strong focus on reliability, scalability, and performance tuning
Security & Best Practices:
- Good understanding of cloud security and compliance principles
- Experience implementing IAM policies, encryption, and secure architectures
Desirable:
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments
- Familiarity with GitOps practices
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
