Kepler is building a new class of AI memory and logic.

We combine advanced materials, 3D architectures and deep semiconductor expertise to address fundamental physical limits in computing, including the space and energy required to support growing compute demands.

Our team has shipped technologies used in billions of devices and by hundreds of millions of people. We are backed by pioneers in computing and leading semiconductor companies and work alongside major customers and partners to move new technology from the lab toward real-world application.

At Kepler, you’ll work with curious, driven people solving complex technical challenges through experimentation, evidence and iteration. Your work will contribute directly to the technologies we’re building and to the computing capacity they can make possible.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Device Technology Engineer to support advanced semiconductor device characterization and electrical testing activities for next-generation technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in device physics, electrical measurements and characterization methodologies, particularly in emerging material systems such as ferroelectrics or related advanced devices. This role is suitable for candidates with research or technology development backgrounds from academia, research institutes or semiconductor R&D environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical characterization and reliability testing of advanced semiconductor devices and materials.

  • Develop and execute characterization methodologies for device performance analysis, failure investigation and technology evaluation.

  • Analyze electrical measurement data and correlate results with device physics and process behavior.

  • Support development of test structures, characterization flows and experimental setups.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process integration, device engineering, product engineering and R&D teams.

  • Prepare technical reports, present findings and provide recommendations for device optimization.

  • Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, measurement accuracy and data analysis techniques.

Requirements:
  • Major in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Microelectronics or related disciplines.

  • Strong experience in device characterization and electrical measurement techniques gained through graduate research, R&D or technology development roles.

  • Experience working with advanced device technologies such as ferroelectrics, memory devices, CMOS or related semiconductor devices is preferred.

  • Familiarity with semiconductor test equipment, parametric testing, reliability testing and data analysis tools.

  • Strong understanding of device physics and semiconductor fundamentals.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have:
  • PhD holders with approximately 2+ years of relevant experience; or

  • Master’s degree holders with approximately 1-5 years of relevant industry or research experience.

  • Working knowledge of all basic lab equipment such as curve tracers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, pulse generators, etc., as well as knowledge of industry recognized Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms/protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, job responsibilities and work location.
