Specific Responsibilities Would Include:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle end-to-end product technical support, ensuring all necessary technical quality standards are met through to bulk production, with the right cost and on-time delivery.

Kickoff & Line review precaution

  • Critical technical issue / children's safety call-out
  • TP technical clarification
  • Difficult style technical support to vendor
  • Sample matrix arrangement to follow up on WIP delivery & quality consistency

FIT/PP evaluation

  • Trim & fabric verification with Merchandising
  • Design & construction checking on samples
  • Measurement checking
  • Fit photo taking
  • CAD pattern verification / correction (Gerber 2D, based on sample fitting feedback & issues)
  • Comment writing
  • PLM system: upload sample reports
  • Mock-up suggestion & reviewing
  • VC fit with vendor
  • Technical issue verification to customer

3D sample

  • Follow up with vendor for e-pattern correction & layout

PP meeting & TOP

  • Technical support to vendor
  • Critical technical call-out, linking to QC
  • Technical clarification with Merchandising / customer

Team enhancement management

  • Daily sample log in chart & OTS

Vendor enhancement management

  • SOP to monitor factory utilization of block and brand patterns
  • Safety case learning

Other

  • Conduct the sampling approval process and ensure timely submission with good execution.
  • Collaborate with merchandisers, buyers, and suppliers; follow up on T&A (WIP) with flexible technical support to ensure on-time delivery on a regular basis.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:

At least 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in Kids' & Youth apparel, with a deep focus on export products for the US market.


Core category expertise (must-have):

  • Men's & women's underwear — strong command of knit fabric properties and technical characteristics
  • Teen girls' swimwear (adolescent/teenage)
  • Toddler to teenage boys' & girls' sportswear (full category, knit & woven), including sportswear sets, beachwear, skate pants, and outdoor & ski apparel technology

Technical skills:

  • Gerber 2D (mandatory): strong ability to create and modify patterns based directly on sample fitting feedback and fit issues
  • Safety & compliance: solid practical knowledge of US/EU children's safety standards, especially US CPSIA for kids' apparel
  • Up to date with the latest garment design-construction trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques, and sensibility for costing/design
  • Ability to resolve a variety of fitting issues and modify patterns by CAD (Gerber preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and drawings
  • Flex PLM system experience is a plus

Education & communication:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Garment Engineering or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
