Establish clear guidelines for component usage and governance for contribution to the library.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating proven experience in building and maintaining design systems from the ground up or significantly contributing to the evolution of an existing system.
  • Advanced expertise with Figma and component-based design workflows (including Libraries and Variants).
  • Proficiency in design system management tools such as Zeroheight, Storybook, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent knowledge of UI component libraries (experience with Radix or other open source libraries is a significant plus).
  • Strong understanding of front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks) and their implications for design system implementation.
  • Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and accessibility standards.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with product and engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale and technical considerations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred
