Mission:
Deliver exceptional, end-to-end user experiences at Groq to welcome millions of AI developers as they build on top of GroqCloud. Take pride and ownership over “User Delight”
Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:
- Design System Development: Establish and maintain a shared design system, including guidelines, tokens (colors, typography, spacing), and reusable, documented React components to ensure consistency across all products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design and product teams to ensure AI-driven user flows (e.g., chat interfaces, data visualization dashboards) remain consistent, intuitive, and user-friendly as they evolve.
- Accessibility & Cross-Browser Support: Ensure all UIs comply with WCAG standards and that they perform well across all major browsers and devices, including mobile platforms.
- Micro-Interactions & Advanced UI: Design and implement subtle animations, transitions, and micro-interactions that enhance user engagement and make AI responses feel more intuitive (e.g., streaming text for chat responses).
- UI Quality Assurance: Lead visual QA efforts, proactively identify UI regressions, and integrate UI test coverage into automated testing pipelines using tools like Storybook and Cypress.
Ideal candidates have/are:
- 3+ years of experience in react
- Experience with next.js, or other react based SSR frameworks
- Strong experience in design systems and UI/UX principles, with a focus on accessibility and cross-platform support.
- Expertise in building reusable React components and working with modern design tokens (colors, typography, spacing).
- Deep understanding of WCAG standards and hands-on experience ensuring compliance across web and mobile UIs.
- Able to design UX flows in Figma
- Stunning portfolio showcasing their work
- Open source github repos of code attached to resume
- Experience with storybook, or alternatives
- Experience with Playwright, or other integration testing frameworks
- Experience with Figma

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $186,915 to $252,885, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
Location: Some roles may require being located near or on our primary sites, as indicated in the job description.
