The Role
Build polished, production-quality product experiences at the intersection of product design and frontend engineering. Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering, contribute to design systems and reusable components, improve accessibility and interaction quality, and ship meaningful customer-facing product improvements in a remote environment.
Summary Generated by Built In

RevenueCat gives app businesses the infrastructure and tools to build, run, and improve their monetization. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch, we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile.

We're in 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $16B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo developer to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue.

We're a remote-first team of 150+ people across 25+ countries, guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.

This isn't the right fit for everyone. The systems you’ll build here manage billions of dollars and touch hundreds of millions of end users, and we don’t take that lightly. You'll be expected to work hard and hold a high bar for what you ship, alongside some of the sharpest, most driven people you've worked with. If that sounds energizing rather than exhausting, keep reading.

The Role

As a Senior Design Engineer at RevenueCat, you’ll work at the intersection of Product Design and Frontend Engineering, turning design intent into polished, production-quality experiences. You’ll move fluidly between Figma and code, resolve gaps in specifications, make thoughtful technical and design trade-offs, and help shape how complex product experiences actually feel when they ship.

You’ll join a small design team with a high bar for craft and a strong builder mindset. We’re looking for someone who treats code as a design medium, is comfortable working inside real production systems, collaborates closely with designers and engineers, and takes responsibility for the final quality of what reaches customers.

About you
  • You have a strong track record building substantial production UI and bridging design and frontend engineering in complex product environments.

  • You can translate design intent into polished production experiences with a high bar for layout, typography, interaction, motion, responsiveness, accessibility, and detail.

  • You write clear, maintainable frontend code and can reason well about state, component architecture, performance, testing, and edge cases.

  • You have strong design judgment and can make good decisions when specifications are incomplete, implementation reveals constraints, or the right solution is not obvious.

  • You think in systems, knowing when to reuse, extend, or create patterns and abstractions without introducing unnecessary complexity.

  • You can make sound trade-offs between customer value, design quality, technical feasibility, scope, and risk.

  • You collaborate closely with Design and Engineering, involve the right people at the right moments, and stay responsible for quality through implementation and follow-up.

  • You communicate clearly in a remote, asynchronous environment and take ownership beyond narrow role boundaries.

  • You use modern tools, including AI-assisted development, when they help you move faster, while still being able to understand, evaluate, debug, and evolve what you ship.

  • You are excited about our mission to help developers make more money.

In the first month, you'll
  • Get to know our product, customers, and teams.

  • Familiarize yourself with our design system, component library, and front-end stack.

  • Talk to some customers to understand their needs.

  • Start contributing to the implementation and design of your first meaningful project.

Within the first 3 months, you'll
  • Have taken full ownership of the design engineering work.

  • Have shipped the first project you worked on end-to-end, from design through implementation.

  • Work with your team to discover opportunities and build solutions that deliver value to our customers.

Within the first 6 months, you'll
  • Be a trusted partner to both Design and Engineering, helping teams turn ambitious product ideas into polished, shippable experiences.

  • Raise the bar for interaction quality, frontend craft, accessibility, and implementation quality within your area.

  • Contribute to the evolution of our design system, shared components, and reusable patterns where they improve consistency and speed.

Within the first 12 months, you'll
  • Have shipped meaningful product improvements end to end, from early exploration through production and iteration.

  • Help improve reusable patterns, tooling, and design-to-code workflows that make Design and Engineering more effective without adding unnecessary complexity.

  • Be a strong advocate for craft, customer value, and thoughtful technical judgment across RevenueCat.

What we offer:
  • Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator

  • 10-year window to exercise vested equity options

  • A fully remote environment designed around autonomy and flexibility.

  • 4-5 weeks of flexible time off annually

  • Paid desk at a co-working space

  • Workspace budget and continuous learning stipend
