This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Isando office.
The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for leading the end-to-end demand planning process across the Revlon and Elizabeth Arden businesses, ensuring the development of robust demand forecasts that drive superior customer service, optimized inventory levels, and profitable business growth. The role serves as a key business partner to Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Global Planning teams and plays a critical role within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
The Senior Demand Planner leverages advanced analytics, market intelligence, customer insights, promotional plans, and statistical forecasting techniques to identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership. The role is also responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing forecasting capabilities, and mentoring junior planners to build organizational capability.
Responsibilities:
Demand Planning and Forecast Management
- Lead the development and delivery of rolling 24-month demand forecasts across multiple brands, categories, and channels.
- Own demand consensus within the monthly S&OP process.
- Drive alignment between Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning teams.
- Challenge demand assumptions and identify opportunities to improve forecast quality.
- Lead demand planning activities for new product launches, discontinuations, promotions, customer events, and strategic projects.
- Develop scenario plans and recommend actions for high-risk and high-opportunity business situations.
S&OP Management
- Facilitate monthly demand review meetings with senior stakeholders.
- Present demand plans, forecast assumptions, risks, and mitigation actions to leadership teams.
- Drive consensus across functional areas to ensure a single aligned demand plan.
- Partner with Finance to align volume and revenue forecasts.
- Support executive decision-making through business insights and scenario analysis.
- Consolidate all monthly information and develop the executive S&OP deck and present to the executive team
Advanced Analytics and Business Insights
- Utilize advanced forecasting methodologies and statistical models.
- Monitor and analyze:
- WAPE
- Forecast Bias
- Service Levels
- Inventory Health
- Promotional Effectiveness
- Demand Volatility
- Translate data into actionable business insights.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools that enable proactive decision-making.
Risk Management and Supply Chain Optimisation
- Identify demand risks impacting customer service, inventory, production, and customer commitments.
- Lead risk reviews and mitigation planning with Supply Planning and Operations teams.
- Drive inventory optimisation through effective demand planning.
- Support ATP, capacity planning, and long-term supply decisions.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary demand planning partner for key business functions.
- Build strong relationships across Commercial, Supply Chain, Production, Finance, Customer Service, and Global teams.
- Influence decision-making through fact-based recommendations and market insight.
Continuous Improvement and Capability Improvement
- Lead forecasting improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
- Drive adoption of best practices in demand planning.
- Mentor and coach Demand Planners and graduates.
- Support training and development within the planning function.
- Participate in transformation and digitalization projects.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, IBF CPF, or equivalent certification advantageous.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, or Supply Chain Planning.
- Experience within FMCG, Cosmetics, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, or Retail environments preferred.
- Proven experience leading S&OP processes.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and presenting to leadership teams.
- Demonstrated success in driving forecast accuracy and inventory optimisation initiatives.
