Summary Generated by Built In

We are seeking a highly skilled, Principal-level ERP professional to lead the administration, optimization, and ongoing support of our Deltek Costpoint environment. This role bridges functional and technical responsibilities — providing deep configuration expertise, system administration, and hands-on support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Deltek Costpoint, managing system security, user accounts, and role-based permissions.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting across core Costpoint modules, including Accounting, Project, Materials, etc.

  • Support Costpoint implementations, upgrades, patches, and data migrations — including go-live, stabilization, and integration with other enterprise applications — coordinating with internal IT teams and external vendors as needed.

  • Develop and configure custom Costpoint components (screens, processes, extensibility units, and workflows) to align with business requirements and drive process improvements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Deltek Support for defects, upgrades, and enhancements; create test plans and perform regression testing prior to production deployment.

  • Monitor scheduled batch/process management jobs for daily, weekly, and month-end closing activities, ensuring system controls align with audit and compliance requirements.

  • Document procedures and configurations, and provide technical guidance, training, and user support during and after system changes.

  • Research system capabilities and assess how they can improve current processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with 10+ years of progressive IT/ERP systems support experience, including 8+ years administering Deltek Costpoint with deep knowledge of core modules (Accounting, Projects, Materials) and Extensibility Designer functionality (additional experience may substitute for a degree).

  • Deltek certifications preferred.

  • Proven experience leading or supporting ERP implementations, go-lives, and stabilization phases.

  • Strong understanding of Costpoint's front-end operations (interface navigation, job processing, workflow design) and back-end data schema/table relationships, with working proficiency in SQL for querying and troubleshooting.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, manage system transitions, and write clear technical design specifications.

  • Experience managing system security, role-based permissions, and audit/compliance controls within an ERP environment.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with experience coordinating developers, systems analysts, and functional SMEs, and engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Self-directed and detail-oriented, comfortable owning end-to-end technical initiatives with minimal oversight.
