Job Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end database migration initiatives, including discovery, assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration stabilization.
- Develop detailed migration strategies, roadmaps, schedules, dependencies, rollback procedures, and cutover plans.
- Assess source and target database environments to identify compatibility issues, data dependencies, technical risks, and migration constraints.
- Select appropriate migration approaches, including rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring, replication, bulk migration, and phased migration.
- Coordinate structured migrations between on-premises, cloud, hybrid, relational, and non-relational database environments.
- Lead migration rehearsals, dry runs, production cutovers, and post-migration validation activities.
- Minimize system downtime and data loss by implementing replication, change data capture, synchronization, and high-availability migration techniques.
- Develop contingency and rollback procedures to support business continuity during migration events.
- Analyze legacy database structures, schemas, tables, relationships, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes, and data types.
- Translate source database structures into optimized target-state schemas.
- Perform schema mapping and conversion across different database technologies and platforms.
- Resolve differences in data types, naming conventions, constraints, indexing models, partitioning strategies, and database-specific functionality.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 7+ years of industry related experience is required
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment will be required
- Experience performing security engineering functions
- Experience developing and modifying scripts
- Experience mapping inheritance and Common Control Catalogs
- Experience developing or tuning Risk Scoring
- Clearance Requirement
