When joining Tietoevry Banking as a Cloud Database Engineer

Are you passionate about Databases? At FCP, we offer a flexible position where will have a leading role in managing and safeguarding our data. We are currently in the start phase of our journey from on-premises to cloud infrastructure. 

As a Cloud Engineer - Database, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and Administrating our Cloud Databases: AWS Aurora (Postgres), Clickhouse 

• Managing and Administrating our on prem Databases: Clickhouse

• Performance tuning of Database

• Backup procesdures and safeguards 

• Database upgrades 

• Assisting developers with database design and sql 

Who we are looking for  

• Experience with Managing and Administrating Databases, In particular in a cloud environment 

• Bachelor`s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering. 

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience. 

• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to a variety of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

We also believe you have 

• Experience with Postgres 

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and technologies within the AWS ecosystem. 

• Understanding of DevOps and operational infrastructure, including high availability.

• Knowledge of Terraform
