About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist at MobileAction, you will work at the intersection of data, machine learning, and AI to solve high-impact problems in mobile growth. You will build intelligent systems, and turn large-scale data into actionable product and business outcomes. Working in a rapidly evolving environment, you’ll continuously explore new technologies, experiment with innovative approaches, and contribute to the development of next-generation solutions.
What You’ll Do
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable business insights.
Design, develop, and maintain statistical, predictive, and machine learning models at the production level and/or support decision-making.
Design and build AI-driven agentic systems that automate complex workflows and enhance decision-making.
Build reliable data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical tools to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
Ability to translate analytical insights, product concepts, and technical designs into clear, actionable results and comprehensive documents that align technical solutions with business objectives.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI.
Contribute to the team’s AI expertise by sharing knowledge, best practices, and technical insights.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in quantitative fields (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
5+ years of applied experience as a data scientist/machine learning engineer, preferably in mobile industries, OR ability to prove knowledge and passion for this area.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, model training, automation, and solution development.
Having deep expertise in AI and machine learning development, including RAG solutions, NLP, clustering, classification, predictive modeling, and related algorithms.
Strong algorithmic development mindset with the ability to design, optimize, and scale solutions for complex data and business challenges.
Ability to effectively leverage AI tools and technologies to accelerate development, enhance productivity, and deliver high-impact solutions.
Writing complex and efficient queries with SQL
Having a curious mindset to find hidden value in the data
Being detail-oriented to check data integrity and correctness
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Willingness to learn mobile app economy dynamics
Nice to have
Experience with LLMs, Agentic AI, prompt engineering, RAG systems, LangChain, or similar frameworks
Knowledge of auction-based systems, bid optimization strategies, and algorithmic approaches to performance marketing.
Experience applying reinforcement learning techniques to optimize bidding strategies and other sequential decision-making systems in dynamic environments.
Knowledge of experimental design and hypothesis testing
Experience of deploying models into/writing services to the production systems, considering time and memory constraints
Experience working with high-volume and high-velocity data
