About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team and work closely with clinicians, engineers, and product managers to develop products that directly impact lives of patients. The ideal candidate will apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to translate high-level complex business use cases into concrete real-world solutions. They will have deep expertise in both classical machine learning and deep learning techniques, along with a strong background in research, development, and deploying products into production environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop high-performing machine learning models for predicting future health conditions and utilization needs of patients
- Collaborate with our clinical team to translate expert knowledge into testable, data-driven hypotheses.
- Work with our product team to ensure we create the highest value products possible for our partners
- Work with our engineering team to enhance the quality, robustness, and extensibility of our platform for millions of patients
- Work with our advisors and keep up to date on relevant literature to ensure we use the best approaches available
- Document and present your work to the team and our partners.
What You’ll Need:
- PhD or MS in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, economics, or an equivalent discipline.
- 4+ years demonstrated experience building commercial products.
- Expertise in Python and experience with ML frameworks like Pytorch, Tensorflow etc.
- Experience with distributed computing technologies like Spark.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to process data and perform queries using SQL.
- Proficiency in classical machine learning techniques as well as deep learning methods (representation learning using transformer architectures, large language models etc.).
- Ability to conduct independent research to develop strategies to solve novel challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile, open, and highly dynamic startup environment.
- Some nice to have qualifications: familiarity with causal inference methods and experimental design, knowledge of C++, and experience in the healthcare domain.

Pay Transparency:
The target salary range is $120,000 to $200,000 annually. Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
