Position: Senior Data Scientist
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Participate in the attribute extraction process as an active stakeholder. Validate certain steps in the process, such as feasibility of attribute extraction process, the definition of the attribute task, instruction document creation for tagging, and evaluating the tagged data. Perform in-depth EDA on tagged data using python, pandas, and matplotlib to uncover insights and prepare the dataset for model training. Responsible for identifying patterns, anomalies, and relevant features that could influence model performance. Responsible for setting up and managing the deep learning infrastructure using Python and PyTorch. Monitor training metrics such as train/validation loss and accuracy per epoch to optimize model performance, ensuring robustness against overfitting/underfitting. Rigorously evaluate the model's performance on test datasets. Responsible for detailed analysis of precision-recall curves and scores, ensuring the model's reliability and effectiveness in real-world scenarios. Explore the utilization of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Large Multi-modal Models (LMMs) for attribute extraction. Identify several strategies and compare them in terms of performance and cost. Develop an automatable process/procedure with the use of LLMs to develop rule-based attribute extraction methods.
