Your Role
As a Senior Data Scientist in Pricing, you will be at the forefront of developing and transforming FINN's pricing strategy and implementing state-of-the-art pricing algorithms. You will leverage advanced forecasting and optimization models to uncover demand and price trends, predict outcomes, validate impact and provide actionable insights and recommendations for our pricing team. This role is perfect for a proactive problem solver who loves to explore and extract meaningful insights from large data-sets and push the edge of pricing models.

Your Responsibilities
- Generate data-driven Insights: Perform in-depth data analyses to understand customer behavior, market dynamics and price elasticity, as well as the impact of various parameters on prices and demand, delivering actionable insights.
- Build and validate proof-of-concepts: Develop POCs for innovative pricing strategies, test and validate their impact.
- Design and own advanced pricing algorithms: Create and maintain pricing models using machine learning and optimization techniques to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
- Shape and evolve pricing strategy: Leverage your pricing expertise to refine and enhance FINN’s pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and business objectives.
- Collaborate: Partner with other data and tech teams as well as business stakeholders in a cross-functional team and align your work with business objectives.
Your Profile
- Graduating with a Master’s degree in a relevant data field of study, PhD is a plus.
- 3+ years of professional experience in e-commerce (preferably car subscription/leasing, rental, airline, hotel)
- Proven track record in data and time-series analysis, statistical modelling and implementing forecasting and optimization models from scratch
- Extended knowledge in SQL, Python, Spark, GCP
- Experience in E2E implementation of pricing strategies and building POCs
- Skilled at presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including C-level.
- Proficient in documenting methodologies, processes, and model assumptions.
- Exceptional ability to break down complex problems and develop data-driven solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
- Fluent in English. German is a plus.
