What you will be doing:

As a Senior Data Scientist specializing in the marketing domain, you will lead and conduct ambitious projects aimed at transforming clients through data. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading transformational projects: spearheading ambitious projects that utilize data to transform our clients’ operations and strategies.
  • Developing data science solutions: creating innovative data science products and solutions for both clients and our internal data science team.
  • Applying data science in marketing contexts: leveraging data science methodologies to enhance marketing analytics, customer segmentation, attribution modeling, and campaign optimization
  • Building client relationships: collaborating closely with your Consulting counterpart to understand client needs and strengthen relationships.
  • Upskilling the team: contributing to the development of our data science team by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior Data Scientists, and promoting our work within other data departments.
  • Ensuring quality deliverables: caring for team morale and ensuring that all missions are delivered to a high standard, providing feedback and support to less experienced team members.
  • Optimising code: writing highly optimized code to advance Artefact’s internal toolbox and knowledge base.

  • Software engineering improvement: enhance your software engineering skills by applying ML Ops best practices while working with machine learning teams.
  • Expertise development: become an expert in one of our data science practices: Time Series Forecasting, MLOps, NLP, Computer Vision, Optimization, or Customer Intelligence, including marketing analytics, attribution modeling, and incrementality testing.
  • Algorithm discovery: discover state-of-the-art algorithms and test them on real-world data during client projects.
What we are looking for:

We’re seeking someone who has:

  • Educational background: a completed Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, machine learning, mathematics, or related subjects).
  • Hands-On experience: at least 2-3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or consulting, preferably within a marketing or digital context.
  • Marketing or digital context experience: knowledge of various marketing channels and platforms, including their roles within the media mix is considered a plus. 
  • Technical skills: strong knowledge of data processing, algorithms, and data architecture, along with proficiency in tools like Python, SQL, and R.
  • Analytical mindset: a passion for working with data to derive actionable insights and solve complex problems.
  • Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss both technical and non-technical topics with clients and team members.
  • Curiosity and passion: a genuine interest in continuous learning and exploring new technologies and tools in data and AI.
