We are empowering people to go from concepts to construction within hours, enhancing collaboration in the world of atoms & pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, for humanity over the next few decades.
For phase 1, we're training foundational AI models that create building code-compliant BIM models, cost analysis & documentation from 2D building blueprints.
We are a small team of 20+ and looking for people passionate about 3D generation/reconstruction.
We’re targeting $100B+ opportunity in construction’s design, estimation, and planning software—ripe for disruption by AI-first platforms.
If you're interested in joining an early stage AI startup building foundational models, geometric and physics engines from scratch to transform how the world designs and builds infrastructure, with real autonomy and the resources to solve hard problems, apply or reach out to us today.
The RoleWe're hiring a Senior Data Engineer to own the quality control layer above our data annotation team. You'll sit at the intersection of data operations and AI model training — ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the structured data that powers Augrade's AI systems. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct impact on model performance.
What You'll DoOwn the file submission and QC process for annotated construction data (CAD, BIM, MEP)
Review and validate outputs from junior annotators; enforce quality standards
Perform AutoCAD annotation and data labeling as needed (hands-on, not just oversight)
Collaborate with the CV/ML engineering team to close the gap between AI outputs (currently 80–90% accuracy) and production-ready data
Manage and mentor a team of data annotators; drive process improvements
Coordinate with engineering leads (Krish) before any major workflow or tooling decisions
Required
7-12 years of experience in data engineering, BIM/CAD data operations, or a related field
Strong AutoCAD proficiency — this is the primary technical requirement
MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) knowledge
BIM and construction industry background
Some leadership or project management experience — you've owned a process or team before
Preferred
Experience at companies like AECOM, Bentley Systems, Jacobs, or WSP
Familiarity with AI/ML data pipelines and human-in-the-loop validation workflows
Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
Skills Required
- 7-12 years of experience in data engineering, BIM/CAD data operations, or a related field
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency
- MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) knowledge
- BIM and construction industry background
- Some leadership or project management experience (owned a process or team)
What We Do
Augrade is an AI research lab developing an agentic platform to automate pre-construction workflows, including design, estimation, and vendor management. By converting 2D blueprints into code-compliant 3D BIM models, the company enables architects and real estate developers to streamline planning, reduce manual effort, and accelerate project timelines. Their mission is to empower humans to build infrastructure on Earth and beyond by augmenting capabilities through innovative AI-driven tools.
