ROLE PROFILE As a Senior Data Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and building out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity. collaborate with data and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization. TECH PROFILE/ESSENTIAL SKILLS • • 6 years of technical experience. • 4+ years of experience on data migration using ETL tools. • Able to translate business requirements into data solutions. • Expert level skill on Informatica IICS or Matillion or equivalent ETL tool which covers from extracting the source to building the complex mappings. • Proficient level coding knowledge on Python and SQL. • Proficient in the use or extract of data from Salesforce. • Knowledge of the Object-Oriented Design and Data modelling is desirable. • Understanding of Salesforce concepts is desirable. • Experience with providing technical solutions and supporting documentation. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Must have Experience on Snowflake Storage and Database. • Should have experience of working with Cloud Native based applications using AWS/Azure • Understanding of the SDLC and agile delivery methodology. • Experience working with databases and data, performing data cleanup, and/or data manipulation and migration to and from Salesforce.com. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Ability to communicate effectively in English with all levels of staff, both orally and written. • Ability to handle own work and multitask to meet tight deadlines without losing sight of priorities under minimum supervision. • Highly motivated, self-directed individual with a positive & pro-active demeanor to work. • Customer and service focused, with determination to meet their needs and expectations. • Be driven and committed to the goals and objectives of the team and organization. • Experience with JIRA and Confluence EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS • BE/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or STEM degree (Desirable). • Solid English reading/writing capability required. • Good communication & articulation skills. • Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking. • Agile related certifications preferable. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES • Proficient in data discovery, data migration, data quality analysis, end to end data reconciliations by profiling the source systems using ETL /SQL (IICS /Matillion Preferable). • Analyses the data quality of the sources and lists the data quality metrics of the source systems. • Proficient in the data migration strategies for large scale programs • Develops and improves data governance and business data processes within the Technology and business organizations and understands client requirements, specifying and analyzing these to a sufficient level of detail to ensure transparency of definition and ability for technical teams to translate to a technical solution design. • Works with developers, architects, and solution designers to translate sophisticated business requirements and provides feedback on technical solutions proposed. • Responsible for building and maintaining a relationship with business collaborators and impacted users. • Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to the process as it relates to assigned projects. • Frequently keeps up to date with the latest industry development and technology innovations. • Flexible in approach, adapting plans and strategies to help manage risks around ambiguity. • Strategic problem solver with strong intuition for business and well-versed in current technological trends and business concepts. • Demonstrates significant knowledge of a single or multiple technologies and advises on design, development and implementation • Advances tools and applications by producing clean and efficient code and reviews others' code when required • Manages own workload and promotes an inclusive and open culture • Demonstrates depth of knowledge and expertise in software development and is regarded as the subject matter expert in their domain. Develops knowledge of other • domains to understand linkages and dependencies • Understands the tech strategy and culture, and how they impact own work as well as adjacent teams • Oversees the design work and planning for user stories ensuring the achieve the desired objectives • Contributes to the creation of solutions for Epics and the associated implementation tasks • Adapts existing patterns to develop robust solutions • Develops understanding of LSEG's commercial direction and how technology is a part of this • Executes on the delivery of given tasks with some guidance and oversight • Builds trusting relationships with senior internal stakeholders, growing network and collaborating with own team and colleagues in other domains/important areas. • Communicates complex information clearly to relevant audiences • Takes initiative to develop knowledge in technology products and tools through on the job learning, certifications and projects.
