We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Exchange team in Barcelona! You’ll help us build and scale a modern AdTech data platform that powers real-time bidding, analytics, and machine learning across billions of ad requests daily.
Our stack combines Databricks + Delta Lake for large-scale processing, PySpark for flexible transformations, and an on-prem Druid cluster for ultra-fast analytical queries.
If you enjoy owning complex pipelines, optimizing performance, and working with a team that values autonomy and impact, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Shape and evolve our data platform architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance across ML and analytics workflows.
- Design, build, and orchestrate PySpark pipelines running on Databricks + Delta Lake, processing terabytes of data daily.
- Operate and optimize our on-prem Druid cluster, enabling real-time insights and low-latency analytics.
- Define and promote best practices for data quality, versioning, and lifecycle management across teams.
- Develop internal tools and automations that boost team efficiency and streamline data delivery.
- Collaborate closely with MLOps, Data Science, and Product teams to ensure smooth data access and cross-team consistency.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
- Strong skills in Python 3 and PySpark.
- Proven experience with AWS S3, Databricks, Delta Lake, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Dagster, Airflow) and streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, analytics, and ML pipelines.
- Based in Barcelona or excited to relocate and join us here.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Druid or other OLAP systems (ClickHouse and etc.).
- Background in building or scaling ML data platforms.
- Passion for real-time data processing and performance optimization.
