We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work on a project in the publishing industry

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail.
What you will do:
● Build highly consumable and cost-efficient data products that synthesize data from a variety of source systems
● Stage raw data and enrich it with business value so that downstream workflows can get consistent dimensions and metrics
● Ingest raw data with Fivetran and Python and surface in BigQuery for the company to use
● Design workflows that ensure reliable and consistent data creation. Repair and enhance them as needed in response to changing data or excessive costs
● Develop Looker Views and Models to democratize access to data products
What you will bring:
● You are an expert in SQL.
● Proven experience building and managing data products in modern cloud environments (GCP preferred)
● Strong proficiency in Python for data ingestion and workflows
Nice to have:
● Hands-on experience with BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, and Looker
● Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams to drive success
● Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, data science, or equivalent experience.
