The Data Engineering team at VIX Streaming is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team!
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer who will be working in the streaming organization and interacting with both internal data engineering and analytics teams and external enterprise data engineering teams to build next generation data solutions on the Google cloud platform.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with high volume, high velocity streaming analytical data and to build data pipelines using Google Composer and manage and maintain Data warehouses and Data lakes on Big Query.

- Has knowledge of and actively consumes Univision content, a plus
YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)
- Familiarity with cloud data environments, especially Google Cloud Platform
- Building and maintaining big data ETL pipelines using Google Cloud Composer, Python, Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and SQL
- Building, managing, and maintaining data ingestion processes landing data into Google Storage and Big Query
- Enhancing and maintaining STAR schema analytics data warehouse on Big Query
- Building, managing, and maintaining data ingestion processes landing data from Pub/Sub using Data Flow
- Collaborating with the team to come up with optimal solutions
- Mentoring junior data engineers
YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)
- 10 or more years of experience in data engineering
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or Equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of building and owning reliable end to end data pipelines
- Demonstrated expert level experience with GCP
- Demonstrated expert level understanding of Airflow and Google Composer
- Demonstrated expert level understanding of Big Query, Google Storage, Data Flow and Pub/Sub
- Demonstrated expert level understanding of Datawarehouse best practices including Relational and Dimensional Modeling
- Demonstrated expert level understanding of SQL, Python and Java
- Demonstrated experience in supporting data pipelines and data warehouses
- Demonstrated experience in deploying pipelines using IaC tools like Pulumi
- Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with AI concepts and AI related product offerings on GCP related to Data Engineering
