Join our dynamic and innovative team of Platform Solutions Management professionals who specialize in platform resource planning, solutions management and product analytics which supports the strategy to maximize our Fleets' revenue capture capabilities and deliver a superior customer experience. You will play a vital role in designing and delivering solutions to enable big data analytics which supports the growth of Intelsat's managed product line and its strategic priorities. You will function as the point of contact for data science initiatives partnering with the other business functions to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency increase revenue and reduce cost. You will collaborate with Product Development, Asset Management, Data Engineering and Operations on productionalization of data to support models and decision systems. You are assertive and inquisitive in your journey to understand business objectives that can be fulfilled using advanced analytics and predictive modeling solutions.
What you will do

  • Help the team to plan and maintain Intelsat's managed services platform resources to deliver on the strategy to maximize yield while maintaining a world-class customer experience.
  • Review and analyze existing data collection systems, and make recommendations on improvement, maintenance, or other factors to improve the system.
  • Develop, build, and implement new data collection & data processing systems where needed.
  • Provide training and guidance on new systems that are being implemented.
  • Lead discovery processes with institute stakeholders to identify business requirements and the expected outcome.
  • Manage and convert raw data into understandable information for other professionals.
  • Ensure data is accessible to the required personnel to ensure the ease of understanding and access to the data needed to make informed business decisions.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers on data processes, programs used, and reporting functions of the analytics.
  • Designing and implementing experiments and models to answer targeted questions.
  • Defining, designing, and implementing data governance platform strategies.
  • Help the team to support new product initiatives and develop processes/tools and team capabilities by collaborating with Product Development teams to support their planning and resource management.
  • Support the team to facilitate data analyses on Data lake management, Data quality assurance and business intelligence data ingest to empowering business decisions.
  • Lead data capture/report generation and analyses of commercial and technical dashboards required for Intelsat's managed Services to meet Intelsat's business needs.


Your required experience/skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant data processing experience; experience with writing, maintaining and updating code, preferably in Python or SQL.

  • Knowledge of Satellite Communication.
  • Masters in Data Science, or equivalent field.
