We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer & BI Developer to join our team. In this role, you'll contribute to the development, maintenance, and operational support of modern data pipelines and business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining data engineering with reporting and visualization while supporting both project delivery and day-to-day production operations.
What You'll Do
Data Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain data preparation workflows using Alteryx.
- Create and maintain Python scripts to automate data processing and pipeline tasks.
- Ensure data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and well documented.
- Monitor scheduled jobs and troubleshoot pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring production issues.
- Maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy.
- Translate business requirements into intuitive and effective reporting solutions.
- Optimize dashboards for usability and performance.
- Support existing reports by resolving issues, improving functionality, and ensuring successful data refreshes.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Analytics development.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Hands-on experience with dbt.
- Experience building data preparation workflows using Alteryx.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and modern data pipeline development.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience supporting both project-based development and production (RunOps) environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and dimensional data modeling concepts.
- Previous consulting or enterprise environment experience supporting production data platforms.
