Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior AWS Developer to join a mature, production-grade cloud environment and take ownership of critical data integration pipelines. This role is a backfill for a long-tenured senior developer, and the successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused entirely on AWS-native development. While some pipelines deliver data into Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the work itself is 100% AWS-based. Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a downstream consumer, not the system of record.
You will lead the design, development, availability, and supportability of custom-built ETL pipelines using AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge, with development primarily in Python.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain custom AWS-native data pipelines using AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, S3, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.

Lead the technical design and availability of AWS services, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and fully supported by AWS-native features.
Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling to ensure operational visibility and production stability.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code following best practices and internal standards.
Collaborate with other AWS developers on architecture decisions, implementation, and delivery.
Participate in code reviews, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality engineering standards.
Assist in deployment planning and support production releases.
Proactively improve existing systems, pipelines, and processes.
Serve as a senior technical contributor and subject matter expert within the AWS development team.
5+ years of hands-on AWS development experience in production environments.
Strong experience building custom ETL and data integration pipelines using:
Strong AWS experience (Lambda, Glue, S3, DynamoDB, EventBridge)
Proficient in Python for backend and data processing workloads.
Experience designing systems with a focus on availability, reliability, logging, and operational support.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and make architecture decisions in AWS.
Experience integrating AWS services with external systems via APIs or event-driven architectures.
Prior experience integrating AWS-based pipelines with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing platforms (Deep Salesforce feature knowledge is not required).
Strong understanding of AWS-native services and how they are supported and operated in production.
Comfortable working in an environment where immediate ownership and productivity are expected.
