  • Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and technical direction to support staff and engineering teams.
  • Develop and deliver high-level presentations on DBMS concepts and architectural strategies to diverse stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of relational database environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Analyze existing data architectures and identify opportunities for modernization and integration.

  • Serve as a primary technical advisor on the selection and utilization of database technologies and tools.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture and database management.
  • Extensive knowledge of relational database environments (RDBMS) and data modeling.
  • Proven experience in managing technical teams and supervising support staff on large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and reallocate resources in a dynamic environment.

Desired Experience

We encourage all candidates who meet the basic requirements to apply, even if you do not have any of the following experience:
  • Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native database architectures within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience using GitLab for version control and Jira for project management.
  • Professional certifications in Data Architecture or specific DBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, AWS Certified Data Engineer).
