Position: Senior Data Analyst
Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Analyzes and interprets information for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency by using various analytical methodologies; developing creative solutions within business areas that reduce cost and/or meet business goals; using judgment to assign what activities must be done; and ensuring data accuracy. Develops and directs one or more work streams of a cross-functional project to achieve desired results by ensuring understanding of scope of work; organizing timelines and deliverables; facilitating meetings involving project teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; taking corrective action; and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders. Collaborates cross-functionally on assignments with internal and external stakeholders to understand the results of data analyses and research by communicating results and findings. Develops tools that support decision making and business cases by summarizing needed information; determining what information must be reported; ensuring customer needs are met; and analyzing an initiative's impact to the business. Assumes duties of Project Manager III, Innovation in the absence of the Project Manager III, Innovation by attending meetings; working directly with the project team members on specific projects and analyses; performing analyses; providing directional advice and guidance related to defined logistical issues; and determining which issues should be elevated to a higher priority. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in analytics or a related field.
Skills required: Must have experience with: Database technologies and distributed datastores (SQL, NoSQL, etc.) to identify the data sources for respective functional business domain and scenarios; Application and understanding of data ecosystem including Data Management, Data Quality Standards and Data Governance, Accessibility, Storage and Scalability; Translating business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks and aligns to overall business strategy and develops domain specific artifact and/or products; Identifying use cases for the application of developed People Analytics solution and insights; Data quality management utilizing the data quality management techniques and standards, Business metadata definitions and content, data definitions, data profiling, data cleansing and data integration; Data Discovery tools to write queries and analyze data to identify patterns and trends; Data pipelining techniques to develop the schedules for automated data ingestion and maintenance; Technical problem formulation utilizing Big Data analytics, Business intelligence, automation techniques and methodologies; Utilizing advanced data visualization tools and techniques for delivering the insights intuitively and communicating the data stories; Conducting exploratory data analysis leveraging the knowledge of Knowledge Discovery in Data (KDD) techniques, applications, or scripting languages such as SQL, Oracle, Apache Mahout, MS Excel, and Python; ETL and data pipeline building from the Cloud platform like GCP, Azure, etc. to data warehouse or data mart and finally feeding the processed data into the semantic layer; Creating complex queries with the Bigdata and Cloud technologies like GCP BQ for data analysis; Creating advance SQL tables and views using structured query language like MS SQL, MySQL, etc. to extract and analyze data; Visual studio integrated tools such as SSIS, SSAS or SSRS to integrate, analyze or Report using Microsoft suite of tools; Writing and executing Power BI DAX queries, independently, for data processing and management before feeding it into the visualization layer; Managing access permissioning using AD groups for BI reports and dashboards; Building interactive reports and dashboards using the Power BI; Product development tracking tools like JIRA, and Kanban board for the creation, tracking and managing the product development phases following the industry best practices and methodologies like Agile.
