The Role
Provides independent, end-to-end analytical support to business stakeholders using SQL, Tableau, Python, and AI tools. Retrieves, integrates, validates, and analyzes data from diverse systems; builds and improves dashboards and recurring reports; translates ambiguous business questions into actionable insights; and documents data definitions and methodologies for reproducible, auditable work.
Summary Generated by Built In
Senior Data Analyst joining the BI team to provide independent, end-to-end analytical support to business stakeholders across finera. The role combines strong analytical thinking, SQL fluency, and deliberate use of AI tooling — Claude-generated artefacts, AI-assisted SQL drafting — as a force multiplier; the expectation is to do more with AI, not less rigorous work. The analyst operates across the full landscape of finera’s information systems, translating business questions into reliable, repeatable answers, and acts as a trusted analytical partner to department heads rather than a ticket-taker.

Job requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or equivalent IC role, ideally in fintech, payments, or another regulated, data-intensive industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Demonstrated track record of working independently with non-technical business stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses and decisions.
- Hands-on experience operating across multiple, heterogeneous data systems (relational databases, SaaS platforms, file-based exports) without requiring engineering hand-holding for data extraction.
- Comfortable working in an environment subject to PCI DSS and other regulatory controls, with appropriate handling of sensitive financial and personal data.
- Strong proficiency in integrating AI tools into daily workflows to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong SQL — complex joins, CTEs, window functions, performance-conscious query design — applied to PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
- Strong Tableau — dashboard design, calculated fields, parameters, performance tuning, publishing and permissioning on a shared server.
- Working knowledge of Python (pandas, requests, or equivalent) for data extraction, transformation, and integration tasks where SQL alone is insufficient.
- Fluent, deliberate use of AI tooling (Claude or comparable) to accelerate analytical work — including prompt design for SQL generation, validation of AI output, and creation of Claude-generated artefacts for stakeholder communication.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking combined with excellent written and verbal communication in English — able to challenge stakeholder framing, identify the question behind the question, and present findings clearly to both technical and non- technical audiences.
Nice-to-have/Preferred:
- Domain familiarity with payments, payment gateways, processor settlements, FX, or card schemes — understanding of concepts such as authorisation, capture, chargebacks, interchange, and effective rate calculations.
- Exposure to Salesforce reporting (SOQL, Reports & Dashboards) — relevant given Salesforce’s role as a primary CRM and operational data source at finera.
Job responsibilities
- Partner directly with stakeholders across finera (commercial, operations, finance, product, risk, compliance) to scope analytical questions, define success criteria, and deliver answers in the form best suited to the audience — Tableau dashboards, Claude-generated artefacts, ad-hoc reports, or written briefs.
- Independently retrieve, join, and validate data from across finera’s information systems — PostgreSQL databases, Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira/Confluence, Slack, Gmail, processor settlement files, and any other relevant source — without relying on engineering support for routine extraction.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve the BI team’s Tableau dashboards and reporting suite, including operational reports, executive dashboards, and recurring management decks.
- Use AI tooling (Claude and comparable assistants) deliberately as a force multiplier — drafting and validating SQL, accelerating exploratory analysis, generating stakeholder-ready artefacts — while retaining full ownership of correctness, business interpretation, and data quality.
- Document data sources, business definitions, and analytical methodology so that work is reproducible, auditable, and transferable across the BI team.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package aligned with experience and market standards.
- Medical Insurance starting from day 1.
- Access to training resources and development opportunities that support your professional growth.
- Well-stocked office with snacks, drinks, and refreshments available daily.
- A multinational organisation that promotes a strong, collaborative culture
- Regular team-building events and company activities that strengthen collaboration across teams.
- Employee Recognition Program celebrating our "Employee of the Month" with special perks.
