About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Mid-Level Data Analyst with strong business systems analysis capabilities to join our growing analytics team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, translating data into insights, and supporting the design and optimization of systems that drive operational and strategic success. You’ll work cross-functionally to gather requirements, define KPIs, deliver analysis, reports, dashboards and support technical implementations that enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate is not only analytically strong but also able to understand business processes, engage with stakeholders, and bridge the gap between technical teams and business users.

Responsibilities:

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets) to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards and self-service reporting tools using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Apply statistical techniques and predictive modeling to support forecasting, segmentation, and optimization initiatives
  • Support A/B testing and data experimentation efforts across business units
  • Present data-driven findings clearly to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical

 Business Systems Analysis

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for new analytics tools, reports, or process improvements
  • Analyze and map current-state ("as-is") business processes and propose future-state ("to-be") solutions
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for reporting systems and data solutions
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring data tools meet functional and performance expectations
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT/data engineering to align system design with business goals
  • Help assess the impact of proposed changes to existing systems, and recommend enhancements or workarounds

 Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with product managers, engineers, and data teams to align data efforts with business priorities
  • Lead or support project planning, task estimation, and timeline tracking for data-related initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members and support knowledge-sharing across the team

 Qualifications & Competencies: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, business systems analysis, or a hybrid analytics/IT role
  • Proficient in SQL and/or Python (or R) for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Strong understanding of business processes and experience translating them into technical requirements
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and reporting best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional project teams
  • Solid knowledge of statistical methods, data modeling concepts, and basic predictive analytics
  • Exposure to ERP, CRM, or other enterprise business systems is a plus
  • Comfortable working with version control tools like Git
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present data and system findings to stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple initiative concurrently
  • Experience creating business and functional requirements documents (BRDs/FRDs)
  • Familiarity with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
  • Exposure to system integration or data migration projects
  • Hands-on experience with workflow tools or process automation (e.g., Alteryx, Power Automate)
