Purpose Statement:
The Senior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence sits at the intersection of FP&A Hub APAC, driving how Finance leverages data to create business value. This role offers an opportunity for a data-driven professional to transform how insights are delivered, decisions are made, and performance is managed across the organization.
Partnering across Finance, IT, and the wider business, the role leads digital transformation initiatives within Finance by leveraging industry-leading tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, and advanced analytics to build scalable reporting solutions, generate meaningful business insights, and strengthen planning and performance management.
Responsibilities:
Reporting:
- Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reporting solutions that bring financial and operational performance to life for business leaders.
- Write and manage robust SQL queries, data models, and data transformations leveraging Enterprise Data Warehouse (Snowflake) to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performing analytics solutions.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate business questions into insightful, intuitive, and visually compelling reporting that drives action.
- Develop and enhance financial and operational data models that support planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and decision support.
Data & Automation:
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and cross-functional partners to strengthen and expand the APAC Finance Data Domain, improving data accessibility, consistency, and governance.
- Transform large, complex datasets into clear narratives, actionable recommendations, and executive-ready insights for non-technical audiences.
- Act as a key contributor in modernizing Finance through automation, digital reporting, and smarter use of enterprise data.
- Serve as a trusted expert in financial systems, business intelligence, centralized reporting, and finance data architecture, helping shape a more connected and scalable data environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, eliminate manual processes, and implement digital solutions that simplify how Finance operates.
Other Responsibilities:
- Create clear technical and functional documentation, including solution designs, business requirements, process logic, and user enablement materials.
- Enable adoption of BI tools and data best practices by providing training, coaching, and guidance to stakeholders and team members.
- Ensure all solutions are built in line with data governance, compliance, and security standards.
- Bring curiosity, innovation, and a continuous improvement mindset to challenge the status quo and raise the bar for Finance analytics.
- Apply data science thinking, where relevant, to unlock more predictive and forward-looking insights for Finance
Requirements:
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or Data Analyst.
- Advanced proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, Snowflake, and data warehouse concepts.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data modeling and advanced calculations.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly.
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to AI, Generative AI, and Data Science methodologies.
- Experience with big data platforms and technologies.
- Familiarity with Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting methods, and predictive modeling.
- Experience developing machine learning models.
- Agile certification.
- Financial knowledge and experience working with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle Hyperion, or EPM Cloud.
- Experience with additional BI tools such as QlikView or Alteryx.
- Experience working across multiple countries, cultures, and regional teams
