We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team to enhance our cybersecurity posture by designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security solutions.
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for protecting Advansys' and its clients' IT infrastructure by proactively identifying threats, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, build, and maintain advanced security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM systems.
- Lead security incident identification, investigation, response, and remediation efforts.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing in collaboration with security teams.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all IT projects and initiatives.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes to adapt defenses accordingly.
- Mentor junior cybersecurity engineers and provide guidance on technical issues and incident handling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles focused on enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint protection, and encryption.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and compliance requirements.
- Relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
