The Customer Strategy Senior Analyst in Access will be a vital member of the Customer Access Strategy team, enabling and supporting the development of proposals and account plans. The individual is highly motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in developing solutions or proposal strategies for new business opportunities in a CRO or Service Consultancy/Agency.
The Customer Strategy Senior Analyst will support multi-disciplinary teams to create solution strategies and market-leading service proposals that delight our clients and ultimately help to bring new medicines to patients. They work in partnership with the Customer Strategy Sr Director as well as Subject Matter Experts (SME) in Parexel Access Consulting. The Customer Strategy Senior Analyst will support with the tracking of new business activities and contracting to ensure timely systems updates and execution.
Key Accountabilities
Proposal Research and Development:
- Support proposal development and authoring, budgeting and proactively engage experts across Parexel to create market access/commercialization solutions that maximize value for the client and differentiate Parexel from its competitors
- Facilitate strategy discussions and drive the development of client-specific, competitive, and profitable solutions, scope, and budget
- Work with Access SMEs and Service Line leads to developing account strategies and expanding relationships
- Support Access SMEs in researching leads (i.e. sponsors), their assets and positioning the Parexel Access solution appropriately for client needs.
- Leverage public sources and subscription databases, such as Citeline, Data monitor, in developing an Access point of view for client discussions, proposals and bid defense discussions.
- Work with Access Operations team to identify resource needs for proposals and awarded projects
- Actively seek to expand knowledge of industry trends and innovations, relevant products, and pipelines, and identify future business opportunities
Business Development and Proposal Management:
- Ensure client responses reflect strategy discussions, meet client needs (relevance and appropriateness), offer consistent messaging, and convey value proposition and critical success factors
- Support in bid pursuit meetings as needed (e.g., drive thoughtful approach to content generation and Subject Matter Expert identification)
- Prepare budgets/ Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in collaboration with Senior Vice President Access, SMEs, Service Line leadership and as needed Ops and Finance
- Support in tracking New Business Awards (NBA) and ensuring data is up to date
Account and Solutions Expansion:
- Work with SVP Access and Access SMEs to develop and drive content to assist in early engagement conversations and proposals
- Maintain a strong consultative “outside-in”/One Parexel approach in developing unique business solutions for clients and in driving industry leadership
- Maintain awareness of key competitors and industry trends to improve and evolve our Access and Commercial consulting offerings
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills
- Fluent English, verbal and written
- 6+ years of relevant experience in a market access or life sciences Service Consultancy/Agency is required
- Comfort with desk research and synthesis of findings
- Some relevant knowledge of product development, or drug development (bench to patient)
