You've Built Your Experience. Practice Somewhere That Trusts It.
Senior Counsel | Nevada | Flexible/Remote
Please note: An active Nevada Bar license is required.
At this point in your career, you don't need someone looking over your shoulder. You need a platform that trusts your judgment, gives you ownership of your matters and client relationships, and provides experienced leadership when you want another perspective.
That's what we're building in Nevada.
Led by Partner Griffith Hayes, our Nevada team handles a diverse civil defense practice that includes high-exposure premises liability, bodily injury, hospitality and casino matters, auto liability, dealership-related litigation, and broader general liability matters.
We're looking for experienced litigators who can independently manage sophisticated matters, communicate confidently with clients and carriers, and take ownership of cases from strategy through resolution or trial.
Why Experienced Attorneys Join Our Nevada Team
Autonomy Without Being on an Island
Griff's leadership style is straightforward: experienced attorneys should have room to practice. He is accessible when you need him, but he isn't interested in micromanaging attorneys who have demonstrated they can manage their work.
Own the Client Relationship
Senior attorneys communicate directly with carriers and clients and are trusted to manage strategy, expectations, exposure, and the progression of their matters.
A Flexible Nevada Practice
You do not have to live in Las Vegas to build a practice with our Nevada team.
Our attorneys work in a highly flexible environment, with many appearances handled virtually. Travel is expected when matters require it, including trials, court appearances, site inspections, trial preparation, and certain client needs.
Continue Building What's Yours
Your experience should create more options, not fewer.
Whether you want to deepen client relationships, try more cases, mentor other attorneys, develop an area of expertise, write, speak, or build your professional reputation, Tyson & Mendes provides resources to support the career you're building.
Who We're Looking For
We're interested in experienced litigators who are independent, responsive, communicative, and comfortable owning their matters.
Insurance defense experience is preferred, particularly experience involving general liability, premises liability, bodily injury, auto, hospitality, construction, or other complex civil matters.
We're also interested in accomplished litigators from other backgrounds who bring strong fundamentals, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to transition successfully into a sophisticated civil defense practice.
