Job Description

The Corporate Consultant is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Orion Direct Sub-Fund clients by delivering strategic consulting, governance support and relationship management services. The role serves as a trusted advisor to participating employers, retirement funds and key stakeholders, providing expert guidance on retirement fund governance, the Financial Institutions and Markets Act (FIMA), the National Pension Fund framework, employee financial wellbeing and corporate benefit solutions. Working collaboratively across the Old Mutual Corporate Segment, the incumbent will deliver a comprehensive range of products and consulting services aimed at strengthening client relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing member outcomes and supporting the sustainable growth and retention of the Corporate Segment business.

Key Responsibilities

•Build, manage and grow a portfolio of corporate retirement fund clients by delivering proactive, value-added consulting solutions.
•Provide strategic advice to participating employers on retirement fund governance, employee benefits and best practice within the Namibian retirement fund industry.
•Lead and facilitate Trustee, Management Committee and client governance meetings while strengthening long-term stakeholder relationships.
•Provide guidance on the Financial Institutions and Markets Act (FIMA), the National Pension Fund framework and other applicable retirement fund legislation and regulatory developments.
•Deliver engaging member education, financial wellness and retirement planning presentations to employers and fund members.
•Identify business development opportunities, support client retention initiatives and contribute to the sustainable growth of the Corporate Segment.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and seamless implementation of client solutions.
•Drive innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence while contributing to the development of a high-performing corporate consulting team.
•Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing, accountability and a client-centric consulting culture.

Minimum Requirements

•A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Law, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field.
•A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in retirement funds, employee benefits, financial services, or corporate consulting.
•Sound knowledge of the Namibian retirement fund industry, including the Financial Institutions and Markets Act (FIMA), retirement fund governance, and the National Pension Fund framework.
•Strong consulting, relationship management, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
•Demonstrated commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, deliver value-added solutions, and build long-term client relationships.
•A proactive, result-driven individual with strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in one or more Namibian languages will be an added advantage.
•A valid Namibian driver's license and travel when required.
