This role sits within the Core Footwear Product Creation team, connecting World Headquarters and Product Creation Centers (PCC) with manufacturing partners. They collaborate across Design, Innovation, Product Management, Development, and sourcing, reporting to the Engineering Senior Manager while influencing global teams to deliver exceptional product.

Nike is looking for a Senior Footwear Product Engineer who thrives where creativity meets precision. - A minimum of 3 years directly relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Creation, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
- 3–4+ years of experience in footwear engineering, development, or a related field
- Experience with footwear construction, materials, tooling, and manufacturing processes preferred
- Proficiency in technical drawings, 2D/3D CAD tools, and digital product creation systems preferred
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will drive product excellence from concept to commercialization—blending athlete insight, engineering rigor, and craftsmanship to create high-performing footwear. You’ll work across teams and geographies to solve complex challenges, refine processes, and bring innovative product to life at scale.
- Review samples and Tech Packs—including physical prototypes, digital drawings, and 3D files—across development gates to ensure accuracy, quality, and manufacturability
- Partner closely with Design, Product Management, and Development to refine constructions, materials, and engineering standards
- Collaborate with PCC, Program Management Office (PMO), and manufacturing partners to align on execution and engineering best practices
- Translate consumer insights and design intent into scalable engineering solutions
- Support costing initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising performance or quality
- Drive product engineering decisions from concept through commercialization, balancing trade-offs to maximize impact
- Establish and evolve best practices that elevate quality, consistency, and craftsmanship across footwear categories
